It is a small plant originated from America, but now also available in Himalayan Hills. It is used for the preparation of several Salts helpful for making Siddha and Ayurveda Medicines. It is been used by only limited Siddha Practitioners as it is Poisionous. 

It can be used to treat fever, shivering during delivery, depression. All these should be done with proper guidance from a doctor.
