Muthiyor Koonthal, Ammaiyar Koonthal also called as Skunk Vine in English. Its looks like a hairs of a elder women, so that it is named as Muthiyor Koonthal. But it is not useful in hair growth as per ancient Siddha Texts. But it is used to treat many other diseases by our ancestors.

It can be used to treat Diarrhoea, Back Pain by Vadha Dosha, Cough, Piles, Inflammation, Loss of Vision, Indigestion, and itching. For all these problems, different type of medicines were prepared and used.
