Kattu Seeragam is the seeds of a wild herb of Cumin Variety. It is collected, cleaned and available as raw. It can be used in making herbal medicine. It is called as Purple Fleabane in English and Kalonji Jangli in Hindi. It grows in all kinds of crop fields.

It can be used to treat Gonorrhoea, Vadha Dosha based Stomach Pain, Intestinal Worms, and Body Heat. Kattu Cheeragam is effective in cooling our body.
