Oomathai is the small plant grows in all regions of India. It can be classified into Vellai Oomathai, Karu Oomathai, Adukkoomathai, Marul Oomathai based on its flower type and color. Oomathai also called as Thorn Apple in English, Dhatura in Hindi. Its seeds are available in dried and cleaned form.

These seeds has been used by our ancient Siddhars in treating Fever, Plants Poision, and Diarrhoea,
