Pooram also called as Rasa Karpooram is a Pashanam of Rasam used in Siddha and Ayurveda. It is extracted from mines and also synthesized using Rasam or Kanthagam in Laboratories. It is being used by our ancestors in making Siddha and Ayurveda Medicines. It should be purified as per the methods mentioned in Siddha Texts before using it for medicine preparations.
